Tejas Turismo was created by a group of friends and family who love vintage automobiles and the memories made behind the wheel. The cars are just the excuse to get out there and drive.

Tejas Turismo was created by a group of friends and family who share a love for vintage automobiles and the memories they make possible. What began as a few cars gathering for a drive has grown into something we never could have planned for. A community. A tradition. A reason to come back together every year and pick up right where we left off.
The ultimate goal of Tejas Turismo was never the cars. It was always the journey, the friendships, and the beautiful memories made along the way. The cars are just the excuse to get out there and drive. We have watched strangers become fast friends over a shared stretch of back road, and we have watched those friendships outlast the machines that brought them together. That is the part we are proudest of.
Driving is freedom.
That phrase is the heartbeat of everything we do. It means something to us. Driving makes you feel free in a way that few things still can. There is the wind and the road and the sound of an engine that has a story behind it, and for a little while nothing else asks for your attention.
It means driving your vintage car and sharing the road with like minded people who understand the feeling. It means rolling down the windows and letting the Hill Country carry you for a few miles, and truly enjoying the experience instead of rushing past it. That is the spirit we hope every driver takes home with them.
A family, in every sense of the word.
Tejas Turismo is put on by a family who is involved in every part of it. The artwork and the design of every item. The route, planned mile by mile until it finally feels right. Even the labels on the clothes, sewn by hand. Nothing is handed off, and nothing is an afterthought. It all passes through the same hands, and those hands care about every detail because this is personal to us.
We are lucky to build it alongside friends who feel like family. Pacto hand crafts the jackets and sits down with our team each year to design the participant only jacket, the one you can only earn by driving. The DriverSource team helps with the planning, the logistics, and the quiet support that holds the whole weekend together. Without them and the rest of our partners, none of this would roll the way it does.
The same family behind Tejas Turismo also puts on nationally recognized events like the Lamborghini Festival, Coffee and Cars, and the Porsche Festival, among others. This is our passion, its what we do, and we pour the same heart into all of it, but Tejas Turismo will always be the one closest to home. It is a family in every sense of the word that puts this together, with a love and a dedication that is hard to put into words. We hope you can feel it when you are out there with us.

Driven to Care operates as a scholarship and student experience program specifically designed for students pursuing automotive, restoration and preservation, and motorsports careers in Illinois and Texas, two states with rich automotive industries and strong technical education programs.
